Roles in our team range from welding and fabrication, CNC machine operation, manufacturing quality, and process improvement, CAD Technicians, Sales, and more.

Backed by North Edge capital, we now employs over 250 people, many of which will be able to take full advantage of local transport links, electric car charging, modern changing and shower facilities, and a shared canteen.

The Role

We’re looking for two Account Assistants to join our head office in Crosshills. The candidate will assist in all aspects of transactional processing which includes key points below.

  • All financial transactions posted accurately and in a timely manner
  • Well-managed, tidy ledgers
  • Positive partner/supplier experience
 

Requirements

  • Accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Daily banking and cash management
  • Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting
  • Computation and processing of all aspects of the company payroll
  • Supporting the purchase ledger clerk in all aspects of purchase ledger
  • Overseeing key financial controls such as the capital expenditure process as well as expenditure on items such as transport and utilities
  • Providing absence cover in all aspects of credit control
  • Supporting the business with the provision of data on areas such as business travel, energy usage and packaging
  • Handling both internal & external queries / enquires quickly and professionally

Experience and Skills

  • Strong attention to detail (Essential)
  • Strong grasp of double entry bookkeeping (Essential)
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and overall IT literacy (Essential)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team (Essential)
  • Experience of working in a finance function (Desirable)
  • Experience of payroll processing (Desirable)
  • Accounting degree or other relevant qualification (Desirable)

Are you a welder/fabricator looking for a new exciting challenge? We have been manufacturing stairlifts since 1996 and due to growth and expansion we are welcoming new talent to join our existing skilled teams. If you are looking for a position which provides, security, structured training and development and you have a passion to work as part of a team, producing market leading products that enable more people to live a better life at home, and feel you have the relevant skills for the role, please apply by sending your CV.

Requirements

  • Must be able to TIG weld
  • Have experience in working with tube and mild steel
  • Consult drawings and sketches in order to build jobs to specification
  • Work to a standardised method
  • Measure and verify your builds
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools
  • Shift work, Early or late shifts
  • Have good experience in fabrication

Experience and Skills

  • Welding Fabricator Certification
  • Previous stairlift rail and tube fabrication
  • TIG Welding and Fabrication
  • Use of grinding, drilling, bending equipment and range of finishing tools as part of their fabrication work experience
  • Numeracy skills sufficient to enable calculations, accurate measurement, and verification of dimensions
  • To report any unsafe act, occurrence, near miss and injury using the platinum stairlifts reporting process.
